In Tripura, which will hold Assembly elections for 60 seats, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Sunday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will give a free scooter to every college-going lady.

He spoke at a gathering in the Sepahijala neighbourhood and said, “Every college-bound lady in Tripura would receive a Scooty free of charge if we are elected to power. The Communists struck an alliance with Congress already before the elections and conceded defeat.”
