The 28-year-old model was detained on July 10 after arriving by private jet in the UK’s Cayman Islands from the US, according to online tabloid TMZ.
In her bag, the model was discovered to have some marijuana and smoking accessories at the Owen Roberts International Airport’s customs inspection. Leah Nicole McCarthy, a friend of the supermodel Gigi, was by her side throughout the arrest.
According to information, the marijuana was solely intended for personal use, but the model and her friend were detained on suspicion of “importing marijuana and marijuana smoking equipment.”
The two were transferred to the Prisoner Detention Center, where they underwent the required processes before being released on bond.
They appeared in court on July 12 and admitted guilt; they were then fined $1,000 and let go.
There is no conviction on Gigi’s record, according to sources.
