Adipurush, starring Prabhas, is breaking movie box office records. In barely 3 days, the most recent Ramayana adaption earned more over Rs 300 crore at international box offices. As a result, according to Manobala Vijayabalan, a cinema trade analyst, the mythical drama starring Prabhas joins films like Pathaan, the spy thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, and Ponniyin Selvan 2, a film directed by Mani Ratnam.

Sunday saw Adipurush pass the $2 million mark at the US box office. After Baahubali 1, Baahubali 2, Saaho, and Radhe Shyam, it was Prabhas’ fifth movie to gross over $2 million in the US. Ramesh Bala, a film critic and industry observer, also noted that the movie had made Rs 200 crore at the global box office in rupee terms in just two days.

The movie is anticipated to reach or surpass the Rs 250 crore milestone on Monday in India alone. According to Sacnilk, Adipurush made Rs 86.75 crore on Friday, Rs 65.25 crore on Saturday, around Rs 64.10 crore on Sunday, and is anticipated to make Rs 30 crore on Monday.  

According to Ramesh Bala, a film industry expert, Adipurush is now the fourth Prabhas movie to gross over Rs 100 crore in the Hindi-speaking world. Adipurush has appeared in Prabhas’ films Saaho, Baahubali 1, and Baahubali 2.
