This is nearly on par with users in the United States who want to subscribe to Twitter Blue. According to the website, the annual online cost for Twitter Blue customers in India is $6,800.

Users can still see whether verified users obtained their check marks for free or as part of the Twitter Blue service for the time being. Twitter CEO Elon Musk, on the other hand, has stated that the check marks of legacy verified accounts will “sunset” in the coming months due to alleged system manipulation.

Twitter recently introduced character limitations of up to 4,000 for paid customers. This was followed by concerns about technological issues and features that were unavailable.

The development comes as rumours suggest Mr. Musk’s Twitter following is dwindling. When Twitter staff gave him data proving a reduction in interaction, as well as a Google Trends graphic revealing a steep drop in interest in him since 2022, Mr. Musk reportedly fired the engineer on the spot.
