Jio Bharat Phone, a product from Reliance Jio, has been made available and is intended to provide feature phone customers with reasonably priced internet-enabled phones. A brief about the Jio-Bharat Phone, priced at Rs 999 with unlimited calls and 14GB of internet at Rs 123 per month, is announced by Reliance Jio

On entry-level phones, the Jio Bharat platform will also offer a variety of digital services. Other phone manufacturers, beginning with Karbonn, will use the Jio Bharat platform to create Jio Bharat phones in addition to Reliance Retail. In collaboration with Karbonn, the company is introducing the first two Jio Bharat phones.

Beginning on July 7, the first million Jio Bharat phones will be put through a beta test. The initiative, which will be run in 6,500 tehsils, will upgrade feature phone users by giving them ‘internet-enabled’ phones.

The monthly cost of the Jio Bharat Phone plan is merely Rs 123. Users will receive 14 GB of Internet (0.5GB each day) and unlimited voice calls. Jio claims that this plan offers 7 times more data per month and is 30% less expensive than other providers’ feature phone offerings.

Additionally, the business provides Annual Plans with Jio Bharat Phone. The user can purchase an annual plan for Rs 1,234 that includes unlimited calling and a total of 168GB of data (0.5GB each day).

“There are still 250 million mobile phone users in India who remain “trapped” in the 2G era, unable to tap into basic features of the internet at a time when the world stands on the cusp of a 5G revolution,” said Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, in highlighting the goal behind Jio Bharat Phone.

He continued, “We made it clear when Jio was created six years ago that Jio will stop at nothing to democratize internet and spread the advantages of technology to every Indian. Technology won’t be kept as a privilege for a small group of people.  Another step in that direction is the new Jio Bharat phone. It is at the forefront of innovation and demonstrates our commitment to providing significant and genuine value for various customer segments with useful, practical use cases.
