According to Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Apple phones will be manufactured at a new 300-acre factory in Karnataka, producing around one lakh employment.

Apple phones to be built in a new 300 acre factory in Karnataka, Chandrasekhar tweeted.
Bommai stated: “Apple phones will be manufactured in the state soon. Apart from providing approximately 100,000 jobs, it will open up several potential for Karnataka”.
Meanwhile, a group led by Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), an Apple Inc. partner, arrived in Bengaluru on Friday and met with Karnataka Information Technology Minister CN Ashwath Narayan in a preliminary meeting.
The group was escorted to assess the area for establishing an Apple phone manufacturing unit in the state, according to a statement from the Minister’s office.
Previously, the Minister greeted the delegation upon their arrival at Bengaluru International Airport.
According to the release, Liu stated that Bengaluru is the chosen destination for global firms and has been a pioneer in attracting investment.
