KEC International receives new business orders totaling Rs. 1042 crore

On Wednesday, the RPG Group company KEC International, a leading infrastructure company, said that its various businesses have received fresh orders totaling 1,042 crore.

Without providing more information, KEC stated that the company entered the railway industry and received its first international contract for a signaling and telecommunication project in SAARC, the South Asian bloc made up of countries on the Indian subcontinent.

Additionally, it received an order for the delivery of various types of cables in India and abroad from a reputable steel player in India in the metals and mining sector.

The company stated that it had “secured an order in the metals & mining segment from a reputable steel player in India” in relation to its civil business.

KEC stated that it had received orders for “projects in India, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas” in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) category.

This covers “building overhead transmission lines in the Middle East” and “providing towers in India, Europe, and the United States.” The business went on to say that SAE Tower, a subsidiary, has orders for “supply of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas.”

Additionally, according to a press release from KEC, the company has received orders for “different types of cables in India and abroad.”

“We are happy with the new orders we have won across all of our business sectors. Vimal Kejriwal, managing director and CEO of KEC, stated that the railway industry has effectively grown its footprint internationally by leveraging the substantial presence of our T&D business.

“The addition of a highly regarded client has helped the civil business’ order book in the industrial area grow. The first tower supply order from Europe is evidence of our commitment to strategically diversifying the tower sales industry, he continued.

On the BSE, KEC International Ltd. shares closed at 575.70, up 0.75 or 0.13%.
