The DCP stated, “Prima facie, the murders seem to be over money settlement issue,” without going into greater detail.

The fatalities were identified as Pinky, 30, and Jyoti, her sister, who is 29 years old. They resided with their family in the Dr. Ambedkar Basti neighbourhood, which is managed by the R.K. Puram police station.

According to the police, the two victims’ brothers called them around 4.40 am on Sunday.

The DCP stated, “The man said that some people shot his sisters.”

The victims were taken by ambulance to Safdarjung Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

According to the police, they have filed a murder complaint and are looking into other Indian Penal Code articles that might apply in this situation.

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, offered condolences to the families of the dead and claimed responsibility for the tragedy on the BJP-led central government, which oversees law and order in the nation’s capital.

“The people of Delhi have started feeling very insecure. The people who have to handle the law and order of Delhi, instead of fixing the law and order, they are conspiring to capture the entire Delhi government. Today, if Delhi’s law and order was under AAP government instead of LG, then Delhi would have been safest,” Kejriwal claimed in a Hindi tweet.
