Myntra will hire 16,000 workers

During the holiday season, Myntra, Flipkart’s online fashion division will add over 16,000 jobs for positions in delivery, logistics, and warehouse handling.

The company’s senior human resource officer, Nupur Nagpal, told that 10,000 of them will be direct employment possibilities (1,000 of which will be at contact centers), and 6,000 will be indirect. This represents its highest hiring during the holiday season to date.

A brief about Myntra will hire 16,000 workers for the holiday season;

The corporation had hired 11,000 workers during the same period last year, 7,000 of whom were for direct roles.

The predicted demand is much higher this time, according to Nagpal, because the holiday season will be enjoyed in all its splendor for the first time in two years.

Most e-commerce, retail, and logistics companies hire executives and temporary staff before the holiday season to help with the increase in demand. Some of these new employees are also taken on by the businesses.

According to Nagpal, the majority of the current new batch’s supply chain management (SCM) employees would remain on staff and keep working through the end of their contracts.

As a new incentive for its last-mile delivery partners, Myntra has this year added the title of customer service champion. It is intended to recognize delivery partners who have received a maximum of five “five” star reviews from clients.

For its upcoming Big Fashion Festival (BFF), Myntra is searching for positions in sorting, packing, packing, loading, unloading, delivery, return inspection, and freight fleet management. Myntra’s BFF will include more than 6,000 brands, a 50% increase from the previous year.

According to Nagpal, tier 2 and tier 3 markets will account for around half of the seasonal hiring. Expect Kirana partners to handle more than 80% of the deliveries during the 2019 BFF edition. Over 300 people with disabilities and over 2,500 women are set to be hired to the warehouse staff as part of the overall holiday recruiting.
