Pathaan, the film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, has been in the spotlight for a variety of reasons. In fact, Besharam Rang, the first song from the movie to be released, has come under scrutiny for a number of reasons. While Deepika’s saffron bikini made headlines, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) reportedly recommended making edits to Besharam Rang. Deepika’s golden swimsuit and butt shots were cut from the movie as a result.
A brief about Pathaan’s Besharam Rang censored the butt images from Deepika Padukone’s golden swimsuit scene:
Ever since its publication, Besharam Rang has been the subject of debate. In reality, before the movie’s release, the CBFC recommended a number of cuts. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Besharam Rang underwent three alterations. It features a close-up of Deepika’s butt, a golden swimsuit position, and several of the sensual dance moves she used in “bahut tang kiya” have been altered or cut out. In the movie, “appropriate shots” have taken its place.
The chronological period of the censored photos, however, is not mentioned in the chopped list. Additionally, it’s unclear if the images of Deepika in a saffron bathing suit were ever taken down. After the modifications were completed, the CBFC reportedly eventually gave Pathaan creators YRF a censor certificate.
Pathaan reportedly underwent more than ten cuts, some of which removed some of the sensual dance techniques from the song. Langde Lulle to Toote Foote, Ashok Chakra to Veer Puraskar, ex-KGB with ex-SBU, and Mrs. Bharatmata with Hamari Bharatmata are just some of the dialogues that have been revised. The song and the attire, however, are unaltered. The shots could use some changes, but overall, CBFC gives the outfit a pass.
