Visitors gathered at the Gopalpur beach in the Ganjam district on Christmas to see Sudarshan Patnaik’s enormous Santa Claus made of sand and tomatoes.

A brief about Sand Artist Sudarshan Patnaik creates world’s largest Santa Claus:

To convey the phrase “Merry Christmas,” Sudarsan built a 27-foot-tall by 60-foot-wide sand Santa Claus using around 1500 kg of tomatoes.

Christmas, which is observed on December 25 every year, is a joyous day for Christians all over the world. This day honors the anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ, who is revered as the divine son.

Since there are many Catholics in Mumbai, this event is observed there with great intensity and excitement. Sudarshan Pattnaik, a renowned worldwide sand artist, claimed to have built the largest Santa Claus sculpture in the world on the eve of Christmas at Gopalpur beach.
