Between September 26 and October 25, as Elon Musk assumed control of Twitter, 44,611 accounts that supported child sexual exploitation and non-consensual nudity in India were blocked.

The corporation has already barred 52,141 such problematic accounts in India between August 26 and September 25.
Under Musk, the microblogging service has been in turmoil and has removed 4,014 accounts for encouraging terrorism in the nation.
According to Twitter’s monthly report submitted in accordance with the new IT Rules, 2021, it received 582 complaints from users in India during the same period through its grievance redressal methods, but only 20 of those URLs were addressed.
Compared to the preceding time frame (between August 26 and September 25), when Twitter got 157 complaints from users in India and responded to 129 of those URLs, there is a glaring contrast.
According to Twitter’s most recent report, 61 complaints against the suspension of Twitter accounts were handled. Twitter stated that all of these had been resolved and the proper responses had been provided.
“After examining the circumstances, we didn’t reverse any of these account bans. All accounts continue to be disabled. During this reporting period, we also received 12 inquiries about Twitter accounts in general “the company claimed.
The head of the Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, stated in October that the Commission was dissatisfied with the Twitter responses to the child pornography accusations because they were lacking in detail.
Musk has already stated his severe concern over claims that there are posts on Twitter that encourage the viewing of child pornography.
Big social media and digital platforms with more than 5 million members are required to provide monthly compliance reports under the new IT Rules 2021.
