A daily wage labourer from Bihar who earns between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 per month received a Rs 14 crore income tax notification at his Rohtas home. The Income Tax Department served him with a notice demanding Rs 14 crore in return.

Manoj Yadav, the labourer, stated that he would be unable to pay even if he sold his entire land.
MANY COMPANIES ARE OPERATING IN HIS NAME
When several income tax inspectors showed up at his Kargarhar home, they informed him that numerous firms were operating under his name and that returns totaling almost Rs 14 crore were still due.
When he saw the notification, he was stunned. During questioning, he admitted to being a daily wage worker and that even if he sold all of his possessions, he would still not be able to pay the tax.
Manoj also disclosed that he had applied for a bank account using his PAN card and Aadhaar card and claimed he worked in Delhi and other regions. He believes that someone must have committed fraud using his documents.
Officials from the income tax department eventually came around and accepted that he had not engaged in any fraud.
