BMC to Deploy Drones to Tackle Mosquito threat in the City

Drones will be used by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) to combat the mosquito problem in the capital city.

According to BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange, the drone would be used to spray chemicals in the city’s difficult-to-reach locations.

The ability of the portable equipment to be readily transported into homes and other structures for fogging would be beneficial in the fight against diseases spread by mosquitoes.

The local government has also made the decision to increase the number of trucks used to perform fogging operations in the city. The BMC Commissioner also said that cleaning efforts would be intensified and more workers would be brought in to cut down on bushes.
