ChatGPT was launched in December of last year. OpenAI, which is financed by Elon Musk, created the AI chatbot. The conversational bot has been trained to respond to a prompt with a thorough response. Users can begin using the chatbot by simply entering their enquiry.

“In 20 years of tracking the Online area, we cannot recall a faster rise in a consumer internet app. In comparison, TikTok took nine months and Instagram around 2.5 years to reach 100 million monthly users, according to a UBS study based in part on Similarweb data.

According to Similarweb estimations, the chat.openai.com website received approximately 25 million daily views in the previous week. It adds that traffic to the site has increased by 3.4% each day on average during the last month.

It goes on to say that on the busiest day of the year, January 31, the site received 28 million hits from 15.7 million unique visitors.

The rate of expansion has become a source of anxiety for the existing internet behemoths, especially Google. During the results call, Google CEO Larry Page frequently addressed the capabilities of AI and how ready the world is to embrace it, referring to the response for ChatGPT. “AI is the most significant technology we are working on right now,” stated Pichai. China’s Baidu has also declared plans to launch its own ChatGPT competitor in the near future.

OpenAI just released the ChatGPT Plus model. The ChatGPT Plus Subscription will cost $20 a month and will be available only in the United States for the time being. Users with the Plus subscription will have access to the services during peak hours. Furthermore, these Plus users will have faster response times and priority access to the new features.
