More than 20 Korean exhibitors will be present at the expo, showcasing the best of Korean consumer goods, technology, food and drink, health and beauty products, and other items for both the general public and the business community.

The topic of KFI 2022 is “Korean Wave: Made in Korea, loved in India,” and it is organized by the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA CHENNAI) in partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korea association in Chennai, the InKo Centre, and Express Avenue Mall.

The fair has made it simple for the pop-up shops present at the event to get people’s favorite K-consumer goods. Additionally, visitors will be able to sample products for free, including K-beauty items and K-food.

The business community can interact with Korean enterprises at offline and online B2B enclaves and booths. K-pop, K-dramas, and K-dance shows are also organized for the benefit of tourists.

Jihwan Eun, Director General of KOTRA Chennai, stated during the opening ceremony that KFI is being brought to Chennai for the first time in its history in order to stimulate and generate consumer interest in Korean goods in Chennai, the cultural and educational center of South India.

Additionally, Busan, the second-largest city in Korea and fifth-largest seaport in the world, which is vying to host the World EXPO 2030, has its own pavilion at KFI 2022. In order to promote trade relations, the event also has a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) desk.
