It appears that Microsoft will surpass Apple to become the most valuable corporation globally. This news follows a recent decline in Apple’s stock price, which was caused by worries about iPhone sales.
A brief about Microsoft is about to overtake Apple as the most valuable firm in the World
2024 saw a 4% decline in Apple’s stock after a 48% increase the previous year. On the other hand, Microsoft’s stock has increased by roughly 2% this year, capitalizing on a 57% increase in 2023. The difference between Apple and Microsoft’s shares decreased by 0.4% and 1.6%, respectively, on Wednesday, further closing the gap between the two computer behemoths. With a market value of $2.837 trillion, Microsoft is closely trailing behind Apple, which is currently valued at $2.866 trillion.
On December 14, Apple’s market capitalization peaked at $3.081 trillion, whereas on November 28, Microsoft’s worth peaked at $2.844 trillion. However, a report from Jefferies analysts indicates that iPhone sales in China fell by 30% in the first week of 2024, pointing to growing pressure from Huawei and other local competitors.
Several times since 2018, Microsoft has momentarily eclipsed Apple as the most valuable corporation; the most recent instance occurred in 2021 when Apple’s stock price was affected by worries about supply chain bottlenecks brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
