The release of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie, Varisu, which was directed by Vamshi Paidipally, has him ecstatic. Since the morning (September 12), when news of the non-theatrical rights being sold for a significant sum went viral, the movie has been trending on Twitter. If estimates are to be believed, Varisu’s pre-release business is estimated to be around Rs 150 crore, which will give the movie a significant head start.

Varisu’s filming is moving rather quickly in Hyderabad. Recently, a video of Vijay and Prabhu from the shooting location was leaked.

The hashtag #Varisu was trending on Twitter, On September 12. According to reports, the Hindi dubbing rights and other non-theatrical rights for the movie were sold for a hefty sum of Rs 150 crore. Trade rumours claim that this sum could reach Rs 200 crore for his 67th movie, affectionately known as Thalapathy 67. Lokesh Kanagaraj is directing the picture.

Vamshi Paidipally’s poignant comedy Varisu is well worth watching. Ahishor Solomon, Vamshi Paidipally, and Hari all contributed to the screenplay. In addition to Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, R Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Shaam, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, and Sangeetha Krish all have significant roles in Varisu.

The movie, which was made by Sri Venkateswara Creations, also has cinematography by Karthik Palani, editing by Praveen KL, and music by S Thaman.
