On Friday, the Income Tax division began conducting raids at the Haier offices, a Chinese manufacturer of home appliances. The company’s offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Noida, Pune, and a few other places were the targets of the raids.

According to sources cited by India Today, the Chinese company Haier is thought to be engaged in widespread tax fraud.
The company’s Indian division, Haier India, is also examining related markets like those for commercial air conditioning, medical freezers, and cold chain solutions.
In order to develop goods specifically for India, Haier India also invests in R&D, the firm claimed in a statement in April 2023.
