Thomson Reuters acquires a financial news service using artificial intelligence PLX AI

Thomson Reuters and PLX AI

It was announced by Reuters that PLX AI had been bought. Interim president Matt Keen informed the workforce that Thomson Reuters had finished the purchase of PLX AI, a financial news service, and would immediately start the integration process into Reuters News.

Details about Thomson Reuters acquires PLX AI. The mail stated as:

I’m thrilled to say that Thomson Reuters has purchased PLX AI, a real-time financial news service powered by artificial intelligence, and it will be included in Reuters News.

For breaking financial news and information that affects stock prices, such as unexpected results, outlook changes, mergers and acquisitions, big orders, or management decisions from 1,500 companies throughout the U.S. and Europe, PLX AI uses natural language processing engines.

The Danish company has a substantial business relationship with LSEG Refinitiv and is only accessible through Refinitiv products.

There are only three PLX employees joining Reuters, but despite its tiny size, the company packs a powerful punch.

As you are aware, Reuters is dedicated to providing the world’s quickest, most accurate financial news service. This acquisition strengthens both our remarkable track record in speed victories and our financial text reporting. To strengthen our powerful newsroom and support our journalists, we will also determine where we could scale or expand PLX technology into other industries.
