Wonderla amusement park project in Odisha to come up in Khurda by 2025

A recent groundbreaking ceremony for the state’s fifth amusement park was held by Wonderla Holidays Ltd, a major amusement park company in the nation. In the presence of the tourism minister Ashwini Kumar Patra and business executives, chief minister Naveen Patnaik oversaw a ceremony for the project.

The Rs 125 crore project, according to Wonderla Holidays, will be finished by 2025. The park chain has leased 50.63 acres of land in Kumbarabasta in Khurda from the government for the duration of the project, which will last 90 years.

Chittilappilly, Managing Director, of Wonderla Holidays, said during the panel discussion on “Unlocking Odisha’s Nature & Wildlife Tourist Potential” at the Make In Odisha Conclave 2022, “Odisha is highly proactive with respect to tourism development & investment facilitation. The department gave us land for development in about 60 days.

Arun K. Chittilappilly, managing director of Wonderla Holidays, lauded the state’s aggressive tourist development and congratulated the chief minister and the state government for allocating land within just 60 days of the project’s introduction.

Speaking further about the Project, he stated, “Orissa is a priority market for us because of our affiliation with the government, and we will always treat the Project with the utmost respect. By 2025, we want to have the project finished. One of the biggest initiative campaigns of the Government of Odisha is the Make in Odisha Conclave Meet, which attracts large investors from more than ten foreign nations and features 38 business sessions, 250+ speakers, and over 50,000 attendees.

We prioritize Odisha as a market for our products because of our relationship with the government. We anticipate the project to be finished by 2025,” he stated. The project, according to Surendra Kumar, the secretary of tourism, will increase the state’s tourism potential.
